The brand’s extensive history dates back to 1848, when the German, William Zinsser, left his job as a foreman in a shellac factory to try his luck in the USA. Once he arrived in Manhattan, it didn’t take him long to find the fortune he was looking for. Herr Zinsser soon realised that the Americans had never heard about shellac and French varnishes. In response, he converted his home into a room laboratory, where he developed the first bleached shellac to enter the US market.

That was just the beginning of a long series of achievements that made the history of decorating and secured William Zinsser a seat in the Olympus of paint with his name on it. Resist mould and mildew with Zinsser

Mould is totally natural, so we can’t say that we completely hate it – fungi are great organisms indeed – but we don’t want it in our house. Here, Zinsser products certainly come in handy.
