first step: grab a colour fan

If you’re in the initial stage of your project and don’t know which colour would make your main wall or front door stand out, you might want to order a premium colour fan. With a the colours in your hands, choosing will be much easier. Look at your paint colours under different lights, natural and artificial, place them next to the other colours in your scheme and see what looks best. When you’ve done, just put your colour fan in your decorating cupboard and take it out again whenever you want to jump into an exciting new project. step 2: order some paint tester pots

Once this first colour choosing phase is over, and you will have narrowed down the selection of colours, you go on and order a few paint tester pots. Rather than applying straight to the wall, we recommend applying two coats of each of your paint sample pots to a sheet of lining paper pre-cut by the splat team and then leaving to dry. Then stick your sheets up in the room you’re planning to paint. Move them to other areas of the room to see how the colour changes throughout the day and under different types of light.
